Call for Workshops 1 - 7 November 1997 to be held in conjunction with The 16th International Conference on Conceptual Modeling (ER'97) Los Angeles, California, USA 3 - 6 November 1997 The ER'97 program committee invites proposals for workshops. The workshops are intended to provide an opportunity to meet and discuss selected topics on conceptual modeling. Workshops can be scheduled around the conference as workshop organizers see fit -- for example, the weekend before, evenings during the conference, the afternoon of last conference day, the day following the last conference day, or combinations of these times. Attendees at workshops must register for the ER'97 conference and must also pay an additional workshop fee. SUBMISSION GUIDELINES Submit by electronic mail the following information to one of the program co-chairs below. * Title of the workshop. * A brief description of the technical issues to be discussed. * A statement of why the workshop is of interest at this time. * Information about the proposed organizing committee. * Contact information for the chair of the organizing committee. * An estimate of the number of expected participants. * Proposed dates and times for the workshop. * A budget for any items beyond room rental, coffee breaks, and rental of overhead, easel and markers. The ER'97 committee will make the Call for Participation available as part of the ER'97 web site. Workshops registration forms will be included with the registration material for ER'97. Workshop organizers are responsible to produce a short summary report (3 - 7 pages). These summary reports will be made available on the web as part of ER'97. Any additional reports, summaries, or proceedings are the responsibility of the workshop organizers.
